For starters, the Rio Villa provides a continental breakfast of coffee cakes, breads, muffins, fresh fruit, juice and fresh brewed coffee. In the local community of Monte Rio are two very fine restaurants, several small markets, a community center, a repertory playhouse, an outdoor amphitheater, and a movie theater. Just next door and around the river bend is the Monte Rio public beach where canoes and kayaks may be rented and a concession stand is open during the season. Back at the Rio Villa in the evenings, warm gatherings on the patio by the outdoor fireplace provide a cozy and friendly atmosphere for visiting.
